Where God alfo promi feth his Chofen and Elect, the celestial Ferufalem, there to dwell in eternal Joy and Felicity; for this tranfitory World is but a vain Shadow, that paffeth away in a Moment, wherein we live in Anxiety and Perplexities, in Distreffes and Afflictions: The greatest Expectation of our Felicity must be in a future State.

Your Talmudifts, and you your felves, have conceiv'd fuch an Averfion and Antipathy against my bleffed Saviour, that you abhor, and think it a very heinous Crime, even to make mention of his Name; but the Expreffion you use conftantly, is by the Name of in or banged Perfon. You also further blafpheme moft impudently his holy Name, by turning the Word Jefu, or Fefus, into a Curse, that I abhor, and am afhamed to

mention.

גיטין פרק,The Talmud gives you an Account הנזיקין.

Jefus anfwered, a very indecent Punishment, which is, That he is boiled every Day' in NY bot Soil, &c. for, faith he, this is the Punishment inflicted on thofe that corrupt the Laws of the ? or wife Men. This Hiftory is very fit to be placed with the fabulous Hiftories

They made Anfwer, That those were the Diamonds and Saphires, &c. for to build the Temple, and the City of Jerufalem, At which the Rabby being rejoyc'd, told this Tale to one of his Difciples, who anfwered him, That whereas a Diamond as large as a fmall Nutt, is worth immenfe Riches, how could it then be poffible to find fuch large ones in the Sea? At thefe Words the Rabby caft his Eyes on him, and curs'd him, that he became immediately a Heap of Bones." There are many other more fuperftitious and fabulous Histories than these; but to mention all the Particulars thereof, would fwell to three or four large Folio's, and, perhaps, tire the Patience of the Reader. I do only fhew you what great Inveteracy you have against the Lord of Life; and not only against him; but also against the bleffed Virgin Mary, and my bleffed Saviour's Difciples, by faying that one John had criminal Commerce with the Virgin, when the at the fame Time

Whereas every Thing Sanhedrin at my blessed Saviour's Coming, was in him fulfilled and accomplished, as I have by Inftances proved already; and if so, then certainly his Mother must be a pure Virgin, and his Difciples pious Men, excepting Judas (who was to betray him into the Hands of wicked Men) Tea; bis Pfal. 41. jo own familiar Friend whom he trufted, be that did eat of bis Bread, laid great wait for himgong

Thus have I fhewn you, that the Hatred and Malice you bear against the Lord of Life, Jefus Chrift, is chiefly grounded upon the fabulous Hiftories of the Talmud, where there is not one Word of Truth, but they delude you with vain Imaginations. I fhall farther proceed and plainly make appear to you, that my bleffed Saviour came within the limited Time appointed by the Scriptures.
