[40.] BENJAMIN5 PECK, son of ICHABOD, remained upon the homestead at first, then removed to Stoughton, Mass., where he died in 1795. He married Letisa Titus, June 15, 1768.

[44.] JATHNIELS PECK, son of EBENEZER, occupied the forge of his father, continuing the business, in connection with his brothers. The house in which he resided, probably more than one hundred years old, was standing when I visited the place. He married for his first wife, Sybel Butterworth; for his second, Mrs. Sarah Michel, widow, formerly Miss Sarah Ingols; for his third, Mrs. Rebecca Martin, formerly Miss Rebecca Horton. His first wife died March 15, 1769. His second wife died August 9, 1798. He died March 23, 1812.

* Oliver, I am told, was residing at Cobleskill, Schoharie County, N. Y., in 1814, and had two children, Patty and Jane, and perhaps others. I have been unable to find them.

[46.] SHUBAEL5 PECK, son of EBENEZER, settled near his brothers. He was an active business man. He held a colonel's commission, represented his town in the State legislature, was justice of the peace, etc. He was twice married: first, to Huldah Hunt; second, to Molly Wade. He died from injuries received in the saw-mill.

[47.] EBENEZER5 PECK, son of EBENEZER, remained upon the homestead, where he lived and died. He was a man of public influence and distinction. He married Mellison

Huldah married Ephraim Goodwin, of Dighton, Mass.

[53.] PHILIP5 PECK, son of EBENEZER,4 was a blacksmith by trade and occupation. His residence was near his brothers. His house, which was large, is still standing in good condition, and was occupied, in 1862, by his son Cyril C. Peck. He was very much respected. He held various public trusts. He was one of the

selectmen of the town for many years, both political parties supporting him, in return for his honesty and fidelity.

He married Ruth Williams, July 5, 1768. He died April 6, 1805. She died January 12, 1830.

Clarina married Asahel Pierce, of Calais, Vt., a wealthy farmer. She left descendants, who are residing there.

Sally married Gideon Hicks; settled in Calais, Vt. He was a prominent man in the town, and left descendants, who are still residing there.

Polly married John Davis.

Ruth died unmarried, in 1862.

Philip W. was a school-teacher, and a teacher of music and dancing in his early life. He afterwards settled in Virginia, where he became a leading member of the church. He died much respected.

[58.] SOLOMAN5 PECK, son of BENJAMIN, settled upon the homestead, where he remained until 1784, when he moved to Sutton, Mass., where he resided until his decease, April 5, 1794.

He married Esther Wiswold, December 7, 1758, daughter of Ichabod Wiswold, of Attleborough, Mass. She was born July 1, 1740, and died December 31, 1816.

Bebee was twice married: first, to Ezra Barrus; second, to Deacon Jacob Ide. George,' of Taunton, Mass., and Ira Barrus, of Providence, R. I., both physicians, are her sons.

[65.] JOHN PECK, son of HENRY, left Rehoboth, and settled in Royalston, Mass., about 1775. From there he removed to Montpelier, Vt., in 1806, where he died, March 4, 1812. He was a farmer; and while he resided in Royalston was one of the town officers many years. He devoted a portion of his time to school teaching, and, I am told, was quite a poet.* He married Mary Drown.

A poem, in opposition to the doctrine of Universal Salvation, said to have been written by him, was published in pamphlet form in 1813, and reprinted by John P. Jewett & Co., Boston, in 1858.

Mary married a Hathaway, and settled in Vermont. One of her sons is a merchant in Boston, of the firm of Hicks & Hathaway.

[66.] HENRY PECK, son of HENRY, settled in Seekonk, upon what has been known in that vicinity as the Dr. Brigham farm.

He married Naomi Peck (No. 84), daughter of Abiezer Peck, April 25, 1765. She died June 8, 1824. He August 8, 1839.

Hannah married Thomas Bullock, who had been the husband of her sister Martha, deceased.

Sally married Drayton Carpenter.

[68.] DANIEL5 PECK, son of HENRY, removed from Rehoboth, and settled in Royalston, Mass., about 1775; an industrious and enterprising farmer.

He married Relief Joy, of Rehoboth, November 7, 1771.
He died in Royalston, in 1814. She died in 1832.
