Thus , on September 14 , 1926 , the larva of Anax junius was measured , found to
be 5.73 mm . in length and was observed to eat a Dixid larva , 4.09 mm . long ,
after which its length was 6.22 mm .; on September 17th its length was 5.97 mm .
