PREFACE. THE following Letters, which appeared in the Cornwall Chronicle of Jamaica, were written to counteract the effects of a work entitled Vestiges of the Natural History of Creation, which had begun to attract considerable attention, and to diffuse its infidel principles among the reading population, which is the most influential class of any community. It is hoped that the arguments contained in this small publication may lead many to search more deeply into the Sacred Oracles, and that they may find that perfect light and peace of which they form the true and only fountain.
