THE Editor of the PUBLISHERS' CIRCULAR avails himself of the very extensive circulation of the present Number, to lay before the Public, in a few words, some of the valuable characteristics of this Publication; the most important of which, to all classes of book-buyers, is the attempt to give the full Title and Price of every book published in the United Kingdom. He would be most willing to add the Publishers' names, but the stamp duty presents an insuperable obstacle: the information, however, may be obtained at the office upon application. The ANNUAL CATALOGUE supplies this deficiency; and to every article in it there is a reference number to the CIRCULAR, where the full title may be found. During the last year, more than four thousand Titles were thus given.

The ANNUAL CATALOGUE, or Index, will be ready shortly. Each Number of the CIRCULAR also contains the Advertisements and Announcements of nearly all the Publishers in the Kingdom,-a comprehensive List of Foreign Books,-Classical and General Literature,-published in every part of the Globe, and with the prices attached at which they may be purchased in London: a space is also allotted for the use of Subscribers, for making known the want of any scarce Books or Odd Volumes; this is inserted without charge, and the Editor undertakes to report and purchase the Work, if the price is approved of.

The SUBSCRIPTION is 8s. per annum, which ensures the regular delivery postage free. Subscribers of the past year, who desire the CIRCULAR to be continued, are requested to remit the amount of their Subscriptions by Post-Office Order as early as convenient.
