not the meaning of words. To die happy, then, is, to be saved in Carist from everlasting to everlasting and to be called in time, with that Holy CALLING, which the Eternal Spirit performs and works by the Breath of God breathed in, and by the revelations of Christ given to all the chosen seed; of whom Peter says- they are kept by the power of God, through faith unto salvation, READY to be revealed in the last times." CONSIDER THE WORTH & EXCELLENCY OF SOULS. A SOUL is a spiritual, immortal substance; it is capable of the knowledge of God, of union with God, of communion with God, Christ left his and of a blessed and happy fruition of God. Father's bosom for the good of souls; he assumed man's nature for the salvation of men's souls: Christ prayed for souls; he wept for souls; he bled for souls; he hung on the cross for souls; he trod the wine-press of the Father's wrath for souls; he died for souls; he rose again from death for souls; he ascended for souls; he intercedes for souls; and all the glorious preparations he has been making in heaven these sixteen hundred years are for souls. -Brooks. CLOSE OF OUR NINTH VOLUME. "Ann Bishop, of Bell Farm," is a kind heart, and opens the way for our reply. "The Carpenter's Son" has been resting awhile. His next communication is just to hand: will appear in January, a useful man and be regularly continued. He is, as Ann thinks, in a most remarkable position," in one of the provinces. "Theodosia" is also to appear in January. "The Original Baptist Almanack" is once more issued. I have filled it as full of good Bible words, and useful hints, and necessary information as it can hold. I am sure if grace enable the people to read it, to enjoy the scriptures, and to practice the suggestions, we shall be none the worse for it. It has cost me, and others, a great deal of labour; I hope my friends will all see it well circulated in their neighbourhoods. Get your bookseller and chapel-keeper to sell it.-ED. CONTENTS.
