The just that walketh in his simplicity, shall leave behind him blessed children. Prov. xx. 7.

The just shall live for evermore: and their reward is with the Lord, and the care of them with the Most High. Wisdom v. 16.

Therefore shall they receive a kingdom of glory, and a crown of beauty at the hand of the Lord: for with his right hand he will cover them, and with his holy arm will he defend them. Ver. 17.

The Lord is only for them that wait upon him in the way of truth and justice. Ecc'us. xxxiv. 22.

All thy children shall be taught of the Lord: and great shall be the peace of thy children. Isaias liv. 13. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God. Jeremias xxxii. 38.

And I will give them one heart, and one way, that that they may fear me all days: and that it may be well with them, and with their children after them. Ver. 39.

And I will make an everlasting covenant with them and will not cease to do them good: and I will give my fear in their heart, that they may not revolt from Ver. 40.

Bless God at all times; and desire of him to direct thy ways, and that all thy counsels may abide in him. Tobias iv. 20.

Blessed is the man whom thou shalt instruct, O Lord and shalt teach him out of thy law. Ps. xciii.12. That thou mayst give him rest from the evil day. Ver. 13.

And the Lord said to Abram: Go forth out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and out of thy father's house, and come into the land that I will shew thee. Genesis xii. 1.

Here am I: for thou calledst me. Fear not, for I have redeemed thee by thy name: thou art mine.

CALUMNY.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Deut. v. 20.

Thou shalt not calumniate thy neighbour. Leviticus xix. 13.

A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour, is like a dart; and a sword and a sharp arrow. Prov. xxv. 18.

Devise not a lie against thy brother; neither do the like against thy friend. Ecc'us. vii. 13.

A lying witness shall perish. Prov. xxi. 28.

Be not witness without cause against thy neighbour. Prov. xxiv. 28.

The mouth that belieth, killeth the soul. Wisdom i. 11.

The imagination and thought of man's heart, are prone to evil from his youth. Gen. viii. 21.

The heart is perverse above all things, and unsearchable, who can know it? Jerem. xvii. 9.

Son of man, these men have placed their uncleannesses in their hearts, and have set up before their face the stumbling-block of their iniquity; and shall I answer when they inquire of me? Ezechiel xiv. 3..

CHARITY TOWARDS OUR NEIGHBOUR.

See thou never do to another what thou wouldst hate to have done to thee by another. Tobias iv. 16. Seek not revenge, nor be mindful of the injury of thy citizens. Thou shalt love thy friend as thyself..

I am the Lord. Leviticus xix. 18.

If a stranger dwell in your land, and abide among you, do not upbraid him. Ver. 33.

But let him be among you as one of the same country, and you shall love him as yourselves..

Ver. 34.

Say not: I will do to him as he hath done to me: I will render to every one according to his work.. Prov. xxiv. 29.

Charity covereth all sins.

Prov. x. 12.

If thy enemy be hungry give him to eat: if he thirst, give him water to drink. Prov. xxv. 21.

Remember not any injury done thee by thy neighbour, and do thou nothing by deeds of injury. Ecc'us. x. 6.

Forgive thy neighbour if he hath hurt thee: and then shall thy sins be forgiven thee when thou prayEcc'us. xxviii. 2.

They shall be holy to their God, and shall not profane his name: for they offer the burnt offering of the Lord, and the bread of their God, and therefore they shall be holy. Leviticus xxi. 6.

The high priest, that is to say the priest, is the greatest among his brethren, upon whose head the oil of unction hath been poured, and whose hands have been consecrated for the priesthood, and who hath been vested with the holy vestments. Ver. 10.

To Levi also he said: Thy perfection, and thy doctrine be to thy holy man, whom thou hast proved in the temptation, and judged at the waters of contradiction. Deut. xxxiii. 8.

Who hath said to his father, and to his mother: I do not know you; and to his brethren: I know you not, and their own children they have not known. These have kept thy word, and observed thy covenant. Ver. 9.

Blessed is he whom thou hast chosen, and taken to thee; he shall dwell in thy courts. Ps. lxiv. 5.

Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord-we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. Ps. cxvii. 26.

the Lord who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God. Ps. cxxxiii. 1.

In the nights lift up your hands in the holy places, and bless ye the Lord. Ver. 2.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, and that preacheth peace of him that sheweth forth good, that preacheth salvation, that saith to Sion: Thy God shall reign! Isaias lii. 7.

The voice of thy watchmen; they have lifted up their voice, they shall praise together; for they shall see eye to eye when the Lord shall convert Sion. Ver. 8.

So thou, O son of man! I have made thee a watchman to the house of Israel: therefore thou shalt hear the word from my mouth, and shalt tell it them from Ezechiel xxxiii. 7.

CHURCH.-DUTIES OF THE FAITHFUL.

But he that will be proud, and refuse to obey the commandment of the priest, who ministereth at that time to the Lord thy God, and the decree of the judge, that man shall die, and thou shalt take away the evil from Israel. Deut. xvii. 12.

With all thy soul fear the Lord, and reverence his priests. Ecc'us. vii. 31.

With all thy strength love him that made thee : and forsake not his ministers. Ver. 32.

Honour God with all thy soul, and give honour to the priests. Ver. 33.
