First I give thanks to my God through Jesus because your faith is spoken of Rom. i. 8.

Christ for you all

in the whole world.

I give thanks to my God always for you, for the grace of God that is given you in Christ Jesus. Cor. i. 4.

1

Thanks be to God, for his unspeakable gift. 2 Cor.

ix. 15.

And let the peace of Christ rejoice in your hearts, wherein also you are called in one body: and be ye thankful. Col. iii. 15.

But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you first fruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth. 2 Thess. ii. 13.

We ought to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, as it is meet, because your faith increaseth exceedingly; and the charity of every one of you towards each other aboundeth. 2 Thess. i. 3.

For what thanks can we return to God for you, in all the joy wherewith we rejoice for you before our God? 1 Thess. iii. 9.

HATRED.

For we ourselves also were some time unwise, incredulous, erring, slaves to divers desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. Titus iii. 3.

He that saith, he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness, even until now.

He that hateth his brother is in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth: because the darkness hath blinded his eyes. 1 St. John ii. 9, 11.

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil. Whosoever is not just, is not of God, nor is he that loveth not his brother :

For this is the declaration, which you have heard from the beginning, that you should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of the wicked one, and killed his brother. And for what cause did he kill him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's just.

Wonder not, brethren, if the world hate you.

We know that we have passed from death to life : because we love the brethren. He that loveth not abideth in death.

Whosoever hateth his brother, is a murderer. And you know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1 St. John iii. 10-15.

He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is charity.

If any man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother, whom he seeth, how can he love God, whom he seeth not?

And this commandment we have from God, that he who loveth God love also his brother. 1 St. John iv. 8, 20, 21,

Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither hath it entered into the heart of man, what things God hath prepared for them that love him. 1 Cor. ii. 9.

There remaineth therefore a rest for the people of God.

For he who is entered into his rest, he also hath rested from his works, as God from his. Heb. iv. 9, 10.

But we look for new heavens and a new earth, according to his promise, in which justice dwelleth.

Wherefore, dearly beloved, waiting for those things, be diligent that you may be found before him unspotted and blameless in peace. 2 St. Peter iii. 13, 14.

Dearly beloved, we are now the sons of God: and it hath not yet appeared what we shall be. We know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him: because we shall see him as he is. 1 St. John iii. 2.

But we all, beholding the glory of the Lord with face uncovered, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Cor. iii. 18.

And every one that hath this hope in him, sanctifieth himself, as he also is holy. 1 St. John iii. 3.

After this I saw a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne, and in sight of the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God, who sitteth upon the throne, and to the Lamb. Apoc. vii. 9, 10.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more; nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more; for the former things are passed away.

And he who sat on the throne, said: Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me: Write, for the words are most faithful and true.

And I saw no temple in it for the Lord God Almighty is the temple thereof, and the Lamb.

And the city needeth not sun nor moon to shine in it; for the glory of God hath enlightened it: and the Lamb is the lamp thereof.

And nations shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honour into it.

And the gates shall not be shut by day for there shall be no night there.

And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

There shall not enter into it any thing defiled, or any one that worketh abomination, or a lie; but they who are written in the book of life of the Lamb. Apoc. xxi. 4, 5, 22—27.

And no curse shall be any more: but the throne of God, and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him.

And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

And night shall be no more: and they shall not need the light of a lamp, nor the light of the sun; for the Lord God shall enlighten them; and they shall reign for ever and ever.

These words are most faithful and true.

HOLINESS OF CONDUCT IN CHRISTIANS.

53

I Jesus have sent my angel, to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and stock of David, the bright and morning star.

And the Spirit and the bride say: Come. And he that heareth, let him say: Come. And he that thirsteth, let him come: and he that will, let him take the water of life, gratis. Apoc. xxii. 3—6, 16, 17.

HOLINESS OF CONDUCT IN CHRISTIANS.

Who is a wise man, and endued with knowledge among you? Let him show, by a good conversation, his work in the meekness of wisdom. St. John iii. 13.

Let your conversation be worthy of the gospel of Christ that whether when I come and see you, or be absent, I may hear of you, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind labouring together for the faith of the gospel. Philip. i. 27.

We testified to every one of you, that you would walk worthy of God, who hath called you to his kingdom and glory. 1 Thess. ii. 12.

And may the God of peace himself sanctify you in all things; that your whole spirit, and soul, and body be preserved blameless for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thess. v.

23.

Admonish them to be subject to princes, and powers; to obey at a word; to be ready to every good work;

To speak evil of no man, not to be litigious, but modest, showing all mildness to all men. Titus iii. 1, 2.
