By the fruit the tree is known. St. Matt. xii. 33. The Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his Angels: and then will he render to every man according to his works. St. Matt. xvi. 27.

Then shall the King say to them that shall be on his right hand: Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. St. Matt. xxv. 34.

For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat: I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in; Ver. 35.

Naked, and you clothed me; sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came to me. Ver. 36.

Then shall the just answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and fed thee; thirsty, and gave thee drink? Ver. 37.

And when did we see thee a stranger, and took thee in, or naked, and clothed thee? Ver. 38.

Or when did we see thee sick or in prison, and came to thee? Ver. 39.

And the King, answering, shall say to them: Amen say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me. Ver. 40.

He spoke also this parable: A certain man had a fig-tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it, and found none. St. Luke xiii. 6.

And he said to the tiller of the vineyard: Behold,

these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig-tree, Cut it down therefore; why doth it

and I find none.

take up the ground? Ver. 7.

I am the vine; you the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit, for without me you can do nothing. St. John xv. 5.

In this is my Father glorified, that you bring forth very much fruit, and become my disciples. Ver. 8.

When you shall have done all the things that are commanded you, say: We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which we ought to do. St. Luke xvii. 10.

For the hour cometh, wherein all that are in the graves shall hear the voice of the Son of God. St. John v. 28.

They that have done good, shall come forth unto the resurrection of life; but they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment. Ver. 29.

GRATITUDE.

And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law lying, and sick of a fever: St. Matt. viii. 14.

And he touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she arose and ministered unto them. Ver. 15.

And Jesus, having compassion on them, touched their eyes. And immediately they received sight, and followed him. St. Matt. xx. 34.

And as he entered into a certain town there met him ten men that were lepers, who stood afar off: St. Luke xvii. 12.

And they lifted up their voice, saying: Jesus, master, have mercy on us. Ver. 13.

And when he saw them, he said: Go, show yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. Ver. 14. And one of them, when he saw that he was cleansed, went back, with a loud voice glorifying God. Ver. 15.

And he fell on his face before his feet, giving thanks: and this man was a Samaritan. Ver. 16. And Jesus answering said: Were there not ten made clean? and where are the nine? Ver. 17.

There is no one found to return, and give glory to God, but this stranger. Ver. 18.

And he said to him: Arise, go thy way, for thy faith hath made thee whole. Ver. 19.

Zaccheus, make haste and come down: for to-day I must abide in thy house. St. Luke xix. 5.

And he made haste and came down, and received him with joy. Ver. 6.

HEAVEN.

In my Father's house there are many mansions. If not, I would have told you; because I go to prepare a place for you. St. John xiv. 2.

And if I shall go, and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will take you to myself; that where I am, you also may be. Ver. 3.

And this is life everlasting; that they may know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. St. John xvii. 3.

Father, I will that where I am, they also whom thou hast given me, may be with me; that they may see my glory, which thou hast given me: because thou hast loved me before the foundation of the world. Ver. 24.

And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. St. Matt.

i. 23.

Give us this day our supersubstantial bread. St. Matt. vi. 11.

And Jesus going out saw a great multitude: and he had compassion on them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. St. Mark vi. 34.

And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came to him, saying: This is a desert place, and the hour is now past: Ver. 35.

Send them away, that going into the next villages and towns, they may buy themselves meat to eat. Ver. 36.

But he answering, said to them: Give you them to eat. And they said to him: Let us go and buy bread for two hundred pence; and we will give them to eat. Ver. 37.

And he saith to them: How many loaves have you? go and see. And when they knew, they say: Five, and two fishes. Ver. 38.

And he commanded them to make them all sit down by companies on the green grass. Ver. 39.

And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds and by fifties. Ver. 40.

And when he had taken the five loaves, and the two fishes, looking up to heaven, he blessed, and broke the loaves, and gave to his disciples to set before them and the two fishes he divided among them all. Ver. 41.

And they all did eat, and had their fill. Ver. 42. And they took up the leavings, twelve baskets full of fragments, and of the fishes. Ver. 43.

And they that did eat, were five thousand men. Ver. 44.

And whilst they were at supper, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke, and gave to his disciples; and said: Take ye and eat: this is my body. St. Matt. xxvi. 26.

And taking the chalice, he gave thanks; and gave to them, saying: Drink ye all of this: Ver. 27.

For this is my blood of the new testament, which shall be shed for many for the remission of sins. Ver. 28.

And it came to pass, whilst he was at table with them, he took bread, and blessed, and broke, and gave to them. St. Luke xxiv. 30.

And their eyes were opened; and they knew him: and he vanished out of their sight. Ver. 31.

And they told what things were done in the way: and how they knew him in the breaking of bread. Ver. 35.

Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that which endureth unto everlasting life, which the
