As touching the first count and education of John Bradford, he was born at anchestaer, in Lanca mhire. His parents did bring him up in learning fiom his infancy, until be attained such knowled in the Latin ton e, and in writing, that was able to gain is own living in some honest con dition; then he became servant to Sir John Har rington, Kut. Who in the great affairs of King Henry the Eighth and King Edward the Sixth, which he had in hand, when he was treasurer of the King's camps and buildings, at divers times in Bullonois, had such experience of Bradford's activity in writ ing, his expertness in the art of auditors, as also of his faithful trustiness, that not only in those afiitirs, but in many other of his private business, be trusted Bradford in such sort, that above all other he used his faithful service.
