Welcome, is this Holy day! Says a week has passed away. Let me think how time is passing.; Soon the longest life departs ; Nothing human is abiding, Save the love of human hearts. 2 Father! now one prayer I raise Thee; Give an humble, grateful heart; Never from Thy fear depart. And the world is sunk in shade, There my treasure will be laid. 47. Sabbath Morning. C.M. i LORD, in the morning Thou shalt hear, My voice ascending high; To Thee lift up my eye. To plead for all His saints, Our songs and our complaints. The wicked shall not stand ; Nor dwell at Thy right hand. 4 But to Thy house will I resort, To taste Thy mercies there; I will frequent Thy holy court, And worship in Thy fear. In ways of righteousness; And plain before my face. L.M. 1 WHEN to the house of God we go, To hear His word, and sing His love; As saints and angels do above. And praise Him better far than we; And love Him whom we cannot see. And watches all our thoughts and ways; And who sincerely sing His praise. Who only seem to take a part; But do not seek Him with the heart. Nor lose the days our God has given; |
