PREFACE.

It is a pity to break this volume off in the middle of

Holy Week, but as it would be impossible to make

it contain the conclusion of the Gospel history, we

pause in the midst of the teachings in the Temple,

and shall hope in the next volume to complete the

set of Scripture Readings.
