it. And at this Feaft the Lord Jehova op will fill a Cup full of it, which the Jews Pefachim, pwill present to him to say Grace to it 119. but God will give it to the Angel Mi

chael, who will farther prefent it to the Angel Gabriel, and he will farther prefent it to the Patriarch Abraham, who will fay he is unworthy of this great Honour, for I have begotten Ifmael; and he will farther prefent it to his Son Ifaac, who will fay, I have begotten Efau, who was very wicked; till at laft God will prefent it to King David, and· will fay to him, It behoveth thee, who wast an earthly King, to give Thanks unto the heavenly; which Cup David will receive with great Joy, and fay, I will Pfal. 116. 12. receive the Cup of Salvation, and call upon the Name of the Lord.

This Cup, the Talmud fays, holds 77221 Quarts. After Thanksgiving they Caphtor Vo- will eat Fruit of Paradife, and at last they pharach,p.38. will eat Fruit of the Tree of Life.

Afterwards they will dance a very mer→ ry Dance, where God will join with them, and they will point with their Finffa. 25. 9. gers at him, and say, Lo, it shall be faid in that Day, Lo, this is our God, we have

waited for him, and he will fave us ; this is the Lord, we have waited for bim, we will be glad and rejoice in hiş Salvation.

How miferably are you deluded and confounded, to take fuch Laws of Men for Divine, that were not infpired by the Spirit of God; for after the latter Prophets, Haggai, Zachary, and Ma lachy were deceased; you confefs your felves, there were none infpired by

Now you plainly fee you contradict your felves; but what is more amazing, you are fo fix'd in your Delufions and Hardnefs of Heart, that thofe pious Men, who differ from you in thefe Matters, are the Objects of your Hatred and Derifion.

Likewife, he that is buried out of the holy Land, when the Meffia cometh, muft undergo that fevere Difcipline of Rowling thither under Hills and Mountains; for this you cannot fhew one Scripture, but fay it is incerted in the Talmud, or Gemarra.

Fifthly, You fay the Meffia fhall marry and beget Princes and Princeffes; when the Scripture fays, he fhall be poor and lowly, a Man of Sorrows, and acquainted with Grief.

Sixthly, You fay there fhall be two Meffias, the One fhall be the Son of FoJeph, who fhall be murdered and bury'd under the Gates of Jerufalem; and the other fhall be the Son of Juda, who fhall Profper, and be Victorious; yet your Traditions cannot agree on that Point; the one fays, Satan fhall be slain, but not Ben Jofeph; and another Rabbi fays, Ben Joseph and not Satan; which is a plain Contradiction ; fo that you fee, your Hopes of the Meffia are vain and fruftrated by your own Prevarications.

My blessed Lord and Saviour came not 53.2, 3. to triumph over Mankind, but over Satan and all his Works; he came to us with Meeknefs and Lowlinefs, with Love and Charity, to gather up the loft Flock, and to fhelter them under God's great Mercy and infinite Goodness, as an Deut. 32. 11. Eagle gathereth her young Ones.

Ifa. 49. 6.

And tho' he was conceived by the Operation of the Holy Ghoft; yet, that the Jews fhould rebuke and defpife him, is plainly demonftrated from this Chapter (Ifa.49.6.) Your Tradition Rafhi,and P Redak, interpret this in fuch a Manner as if God fpake it of the Prophet Ifaiah; but how could this poffibly be, when the Text exprefly fays, I will also give thee for a Light to the Gentiles, that thou

may'ft be for Salvation unto the Ends of the World. But Ifaiah was not given for a Light, neither did he bring any Light unto the Gentiles, until they embraced my bleffed Saviour, Jefus Chrift's Do&trine, by which they received great Light, and Reft unto their Souls; neither was Ifaiah the Meffia, that he should be for Salvation unto the Ends of the World, for he was not God's anointed, and most or all of the Heathen Nations were unconverted, and remained in the superstitious Idolatry, until converted by the Coming of Jefus Chrift, to fulfil and accomplifh the faying of holy David, Defire Plal. 2. 8. of me, and I shall give thee the Heathen for thine Inheritance, and the utmost Parts of the Earth for thy Poffeffion.

;

But you have defpifed God's Holy One, inftead of accepting his bleffed Doctrine you not only refused to obey, but rejected and crucified the Lord of Life; wherefore you will all be afhamed and confounded, when you fhall behold the Glory and Comfort, that God's Elect, who truly and faithfully obferve Chrift's holy Laws, will enjoy. I proceed with our Prophet.

Gentiles feek, and his Reft fhall be glorious,

In the foregoing Difcourfe, I have proved the Accomplishment of the Prophecies, in the gathering of the Nations to Chrift, and fhall farther make it appear, that Fefus was the true Meffia; the Son of God, as the royal Pfalmift ftyles him, Thou art my Son, this Day have I begotten thee. Which was an Intimation to us, and to the Gentiles, to embrace his Doctrine: This Text (Ifa. 11. 10.) doth not fignify the Tumults of War, or the Mifery and difmal Afflictions and Apprehenfions of the Times; on the contrary, it concerns those that shall fight under the Enfign and Banner of Chrift, for the Attainment of their Salvation. As concerning the Wars of Gog and Magog, which do only prefigure the Enemies of the Church, as alfo Dan. 10. 29. the Tumults and Diftractions of the feveral Nations prophefy'd of, certainly, that will come to pafs at the great and dreadful Day of Judgment, when all Mortals muft give an Account of their Actions committed and acted in this tranfitory World: When that Day of the Lord Zach.4.1. cometh, it shall burn like an Oven, the Wicked Shall be like Stubble, to them fhall be left neither Root nor Branch.
