The parts recording events of the American Revolution are usually attributed to BURKE, and begin in Vol. XIX. Dr. Smyth considered this the most concise, able, impartial, and authentic history of the dispute to be found. Americans admit that the Annual Register contains the best foreign summary account of their affairs.
