18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. 19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt-offering, and whole burnt-offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar. PSALM. The Psalmist complaineth of his enemies. Be merciful unto me O God; for man would swallow me up: he fighting daily oppresseth me. 2 Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against mé, O thou Most High. 3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. 4 In God I will praise his word; in God have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh car do unto me. 5 Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil. 6 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul. 7 Shall they escape by iniquity ? in thine anger cast down the people, O God. 8 Thou tellest my wanderings : put thou my tears into thy bottle : are they not in thy book? 9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me. 10 In God I will praise his word; in the Lord will I praise his word, 11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. 12 Thy vows are upon me O God: I will render praises unto thee. 13 For thou hast delivered my soul from death; wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living. 1 PSALM. David prayeth for Deliverance. Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy. 2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workors of iniquity: 3 Who whet their tongue like a sword and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words; 4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. 5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them ? 6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search; both the inward thought of every one of them and the heart is deep. 7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly əhall they be wounded, 8 So they shall make their own congue to fall upon themselves : all that see them shall flee away. 9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God : for they shall wisely consider of his doing. 10 The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory. PSALM. A Prayer for the Increase of God's Blessings. God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us. Selah. 2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. 3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. |
