""Chapters and Speeches on the Irish Land Question"" is a book written by John Stuart Mill in 1870. The book is a collection of Mill's speeches on the issue of Irish land reform, which he gave in the British Parliament during the mid-19th century. The book is divided into several chapters, each of which focuses on a different aspect of the Irish land question. Mill argues that the Irish people are suffering from a lack of ownership and control over their own land, which has led to poverty and social unrest. He advocates for land reform that would give Irish tenants greater security and control over their land, as well as fair compensation for improvements made to the land. Mill's speeches are notable for their clear and persuasive arguments, as well as their passionate defense of the rights of the Irish people. Overall, ""Chapters and Speeches on the Irish Land Question"" is an important historical document that sheds light on the political and social issues of the time, and it remains relevant today as a testament to the ongoing struggle for land reform and social justice. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
