The Neo-Palamite Synthesis of Father Dumitru Stăniloae

This book presents the contribution of Father Dumitru Stăniloae, the most renowned Romanian Orthodox theologian and one of the leading figures of the Modern Orthodox Theologians, to the interpretation and modern assessment of the writings of Gregory Palamas in a critical manner. The introduction of the book details the life and Patristic contribution of Father Dumitru Stăniloae. Although the general view is that Stăniloae was mainly a Systematic theologian, the reality is that he was also a Patristic scholar. All the chapters contained here include an analysis of different books and studies of Father Stăniloae and how he developed his Neo-Palamite Synthesis during his lifetime.
