PICKERING has just put forth a New Dictionary of the Earls Language, which, whether we regard its extra diary cheapest, or the extaordinary labour and ability by which it is characterised, bude fair to moval and similar publications. The work is to be completed in Thirty Parts, each Part w contain eighty 4to. pages, with three columns of Damat type opka each page 2 the meaning of each word is illustrated by a greater number of pamages from standard English writers than is to be found in any fine wirk: at the read ing necessary for the supply of this immense body, must bete been the labour of years. A part of this Dictionary appeared, we fnd, in the Emryolagena Metro politana, and was spoken of by the Quarterly and other reviews, as the greatest lexicographical achievement of the age.
