line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world (Ps. xix. 1).

Thou sittest upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; thou stretchest out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadest them out as a tent to dwell in (Isa. xl. 22).

O Lord our God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty; thou coverest thyself with light as with a garment, thou makest the clouds thy chariot; and walketh upon the wings of the wind (Ps. civ. 1).

Thine, O Lord, is the greatness and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all (1 Chron. xxix. 11).

GOD IS THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory, and honour, and power; for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created (Rev. iv. 11).

By thee were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers; all things were created by thee, and for thee; and thou art before all things, and by thee all things consist (Col. i. 16).

O Lord, thou hast made the heaven, the

heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all (Neh. ix. 6).

Thou hast set a tabernacle for the sun, which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race (Ps. xix. 4).

O Lord, thou art a great God, and a great King above all gods: in thy hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is thine also; the sea is thine, for thou madest it; and thy hands formed the dry land (Ps. xcv. 3).

Thou hast made the earth by thy power, thou hast established the world by thy wisdom, and hast stretched out the heavens by thy discretion (Jer. x. 12 .

O Lord, thou art our Father: we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we are all the work of thy hands (Isa. lxiv. 8).

Thou hast clothed us with skin and flesh, and fenced us with bones and sinews: thou hast granted us life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved our spirit (Job x. 11).

GOD IS THE DISPOSER OF ALL THINGS.

Thou hast made of one blood all nations of men, to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hast determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation (Acts. xvii. 26).

Thou doest according to thy will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the

earth; and none can stay thy hand, or say unto thee, What doest thou? (Dan. iv. 35).

Thou changest the times and the seasons; thou removest kings, and settest up kings: thou givest wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding (Dan. ii. 21).

Thou makest poor, and makest rich; thou bringest low, and liftest up : thou raisest up the poor out of the dust, and liftest up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory, for the pillars of the earth are thine, and thou hast set the world upon them (1 Sam. ii. 7).

Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might, and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all (1 Chron. xxix, 12).

GOD IS THE HEARER OF PRAYER.

The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles (Ps. xxxiv. 17).

O Lord, thou art nigh unto all them that call upon thee, to all them that call upon thee in truth: thou wilt fulfil the desires of them that fear thee: thou wilt also hear their cry, and wilt save them (Ps. cxlv. 18).

We desire to seek thee whilst thou art to be found, and to call upon thee whilst thou art near (Isa. lv 6).

We know not what we should pray for as

we ought; but let thy Spirit help our infirmities, and make intercession for us (Rom. viii. 26).

O send out thy light and thy truth; let them lead us, let them bring us unto thy holy hill, and unto thy tabernacles (Ps. xliii. 3).

O Lord God of hosts, hear our prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Behold, O God, our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed (Ps. lxxxiv. 8).

O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord hearken and do; defer not for thine own sake, O our God (Dan. ix. 19).

CONFESSION OF SIN.

By one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Rom. v. 12).

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us (1 John i. 8).

Our iniquities have gone over our head, as a burden too heavy for us to bear; we are troubled and bowed down greatly, we go mourning all the day long (Ps. xxxviii. 4).

Innumerable evils have compassed us about: our iniquities have taken hold upon us, so that we are not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of our head, therefore our hearts fail us (Ps. xl. 12).

O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of face, as at this day (Dan. ix. 7).

We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against

the Lord our God, we and our fathers, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God (Jer. iii. 25).

FOR PARDON AND PURITY.

O Lord, unto thee belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against thee (Dan. ix. 9).

Lord, look upon us, and be merciful to us, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name (Ps. cxix. 132).

Remember not the sins of our youth, nor our transgressions: according to thy mercy, remember thou us, for thy goodness' sake, O Lord (Ps. xxv. 7).

O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies prevent us; for we are brought low. Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name; and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake (Ps. lxxix. 8, 9).

Have mercy upon us, O God, according to thy loving-kindness; according to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out our transgressions. Wash us throughly from our iniquities, and cleanse us from our sins: for we acknowledge our trangressions; and our sins are ever before us (Ps. li. 1).

Create in us a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within us. Cast us not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from us. Restore unto us the joy of thy salvation; and uphold us with thy free Spirit (Ps. li. 10).
