evil and the good: neither is there any creature that is not manifest in thy sight; but all things are naked and open unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do (Prov. xv. 3).

Thine eyes are upon the ways of man, and thou seest all his goings: there is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves (Job xxxiv. 21).

None can hide himself in secret places that thou canst not see him; for thou fillest heaven and earth, and art a God at hand, and a God afar off (Jer. xxiii. 24).

Whither shall we go from thy Spirit? or whither shall we flee from thy presence? if we ascend up into heaven, thou art there; if we make our bed in hell, behold, thou art there; if we take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand lead us, and thy right hand shall hold us (Ps. cxxxix. 7).

If we say, Surely the darkness shall cover us; even the night shall be light about us: yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee (Ps. cxxxix. 11).

We rejoice to know, that when thine eyes run to and fro throughout the whole earth, it is that thou mayest show thyself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are perfect toward thee (2 Chron. xvi. 9).

GOD IS OMNIPOTENT.

O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord

like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee? thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them. Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand (Ps. lxxxix. 8). Thou hast measured the waters in the hollow of thine hand, and meted out heaven with a span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance (Isa. xl. 12).

Behold, the nations are as the drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, thou takest up the isles as a very little thing; all nations before thee are as nothing; and they are counted to thee less than nothing, and vanity (Isa. xl. 15).

Thou art wise in heart, and mighty in strength: none can harden himself against thee and prosper (Job ix. 4).

Thou removest the mountains, and they know it not; thou overturnest them in thine anger: thou shakest the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble: thou commandest the sun and it risest not, and sealest up the stars; thou doest great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number (Job ix. 5).

All thy works are truth, and thy ways judg ment; and those that walk in pride thou art able to abase (Dan. iv. 37).

GOD IS INCOMPREHENSIBLE.

O Lord, thou art great, and greatly to

be praised: thy greatness is unsearchable (Ps. cxlv. 3).

Behold, thou art great, and we know thee not; neither can the number of thine years be searched out (Job xxxvi. 26).

Who can by searching find out God? who can find out the Almighty unto perfection? It is as high as heaven, what can we do? deeper than hell, what can we know? the measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea (Job xi. 7).

O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep: a brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this (Ps. xcii. 5).

Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known (Ps. lxxvii. 19).

Thy thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are thy ways our ways; for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are thy ways higher than our ways, and thy thoughts than our thoughts (Isa. lv. 8).

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unscarchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! (Rom. xi. 33).

GOD IS TRUE AND FAITHFUL.

O Lord our God, thou art the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love thee, and keep thy commandments, to a thousand generations (Deut. vii. 9).

O Lord we worship thee as the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob: this is thy name for ever, and this is thy memorial unto all generations (Exod. iii. 15).

Thou hast remembered thy covenant for ever, the word which thou commanded to a thousand generations: which covenant thou madest with Abraham, and thine oath with Isaac; and confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant (Ps. cv. 8).

We bless thee, that thou hast remembered thy mercy and thy truth toward the house of Israel, and that all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God (Ps. xcviii. 3).

O Lord, thou art the Rock, thy work is perfect; for all thy ways are judgment; a God of truth, and without iniquity; just and right art thou (Deut. xxxii. 4).

O Lord, thou art our God, we will exalt thee; we will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things: thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth (Isa. xxv. 1).

GOD IS GOOD AND MERCIFUL.

O Lord, thou art good, and ready to forgive: and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee (Ps. lxxxvi. 5).

Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds (Ps. xxxvi. 5).

Thy chosen name is, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and

abundant in goodness and truth; keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity, and transgression, and sin (Exod. xxxiv. 6, 7).

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of thine heritage; thou retainest not thine anger for ever, because thou delightest in mercy (Mic. vii. 18).

GOD IS GLORIOUS.

O Lord, thy name alone is Jehovah; and thou art the most High over all the earth (Ps. lxxxiii. 18).

Thou hast prepared thy throne in the heavens, and thy kingdom ruleth over all (Ps. ciii. 19).

Thou art the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords. Thou only hast immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto, whom no man hath seen, nor can see (1 Tim. vi. 15).

Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like unto thee; glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? (Exod. xv. 11).

Among the gods, there is none like unto thee, O Lord, neither are there any works like unto thy works (Ps. lxxxvi. 8).

The heavens declare thy glory, O God; and the firmament sheweth thy handy-work. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard, there
