THE above Work will contain Illustrations of the Romantic, Historical, and Legendary Scenery of Scotland, its Mountain Passes, its wild and rugged Glens, Its Lakes and Rivers, its Royal Palaces and Gothic Temples, and a number of its modern Towns and Burghs. The present Series of SCOTTISH VIEWS will be completed in Twenty Parts, of which at least one Part, but occasionally two, will be issued monthly. Each Part will contain Four Engravings; and the Illustrative Letter-press will be enriched by the occasional introduction of Wood-cuts, In addition to the Illustrative Letter-press, each alternate Part will contain a portion of PROFESSOR WILSON's Introductory Essay; and with the Concluding Part will be given a Vignette Title-page, Table of Contents, and Index to the whole Book.
