9. Great is thy Mercy, O Lord, quicken me to thy Judgements.

10. Many there are that trouble me and perfecute me; yet do I not fwerve from thy Teftimonies.

II. It grieveth me when I fee the Tranfgreffors, because they keep not thy Law. Confider, O Lord, how I love thy Commandments; O quicken me, according to thy loving Kindness.

12. Thy Word is true from everlasting; all the Judgements of thy Righteoufnefs endure for evermore.

13. PRINCES HAVE perfecuted me without a Caufe, but my Heart ftandeth in Awe of thy Word: I am as glad of thy Word, as one that findeth great Spoils."

14. As for Lies, I hate and abhor them; but thy Law do I love.

15. Seven Times a Day do I praife Thee, becaufe of thy righteous Judgements.

16. Great Peace have they who love thy Law, and nothing fhall offend them.

17. Lord, I have looked for thy faving Health, and done after thy Commandments: my Soul hath kept thy Testimonies, and loved them exceedingly.

18. I have kept thy Precepts and Teftimonies; for all my Ways are before Thee.

19. LET MY Complaint come before Thee, O Lord, give me Understanding according to thy Word.

20. Let my Supplication come before Thee; deliver me me according to thy Word.

21. My Lips fhall speak of thy Praife, when Thou haft taught me thy Statutes: yea, my Tongue fhall fing of thy Word; for all thy Commandments are righteous.

22. Let thine Hand help me, for I have chofen thy Commandments.

23. 1 have longed for thy faving Health, O Lord, and in thy Law is my Delight: O let my Soul live, and it fhall praife Thee, and thy Judgements fhall help me.

24. I have gone aftray, like a Sheep that is loft; O feek thy Servant, for I do not forget thy Commandments.

25. Now QUR LORD Jefus Chrift himself, and God even our Father, which hath loved Us, and hath given us everlafting Confolation and goed Hope through Grace; comfort your Hearts, and eftablish you in every good Word and Work. (2 Thessal. ii. 16.)

Twenty Seventh HYMN LIII. Morning.

I.

•WHEN I WAS in Trouble, I called upon the Lord and He heard me. Deliver my Soul, O Lord, from lying Lips, and from a deceitful Tongue. (Pf.. cxx.)

2. What Reward fhall be given or done unto thee, thou falfe Tongue? even mighty and fharp Arrows, with hot burning Coals.

3. I WILL LIFT up mine Eyes unto the Hills, from whence cometh my Help: my Help cometh even from the Lord, who hath made Heaven and Earth. (P/. cxxi.)

4. He will not fuffer thy Foot to be moved; and He that keepeth Thee will not fleep: behold, He that keepeth Ifrael fhall neither flumber nor fleep.

5. The Lord himself is thy Keeper; the Lord is thy Defence upon thy right Hand; fo that the Sun fhall not fmite thee by Day, neither the Moon by Night: the Lord fhall preferve Thee from all Evil; yea, it is even He that keepeth thy Soul.

6. The Lord fhall preferve thy going out, and thy coming in, from this Time forth for evermore.

7. I WAS GLAD when they said unto me, We will go into the House of the Lord, our Feet shall stand within thy Gates, O Jerufalem. (Pf. cxxii.)

8. Jerufalem is built as a City, that is at Unity in itself. 9. For thither the Tribes go up, even the Tribes of the Lord, to teftifie unto Ifrael, to give Thanks unto the Name of the Lord.

11. O pray for the Peace of Jerufalem; they fhall prof per that love thee: Peace be within thy Walls, and Profperity within thy Palaces.

12. For my Brethren and Companions' fake, I will now fay, Peace be within thee; yea, because of the House of the Lord our God, I will feek to do thee good.

14. Very excellent Things are spoken of thee, O thou City of God.

20. The Lord fhall fend the Rod of thy Power out of Sien; be thou Ruler, even in the midft, among thine Enemies. 21. In the Day of thy Power shall the People offer thee free-will Offerings with an holy Worship; the Dew of thy Birth is of the Womb of the Morning.

22. The Lord hath fworn, and will not repent; Thou art a Prieft for ever, after the Order of Melchifedec.

23. The Lord upon thy right Hand fhall wound even Kings in the Day of his Wrath: He will judge among the Heathen; He fhall fill the Places with the dead Bodies, and fmite in funder the Heads over divers Countrys.

24. He fhall drink of the Brook in the Way; therefore fhall he lift up his Head.

25. THEY THAT PUT their Truft in the Lord, shall be even as Mount Sion, which cannot be removed, but ftandeth faft for ever. (Pf. cxxv.)

26. As the Hills ftand about Jerufalem, even fo ftandeth the Lord about his People, from this Time forth for ever

more.

27. For the Rod of the Ungodly cometh not into the Lot of the Righteous, left the Righteous put their Hand unto Wickedness.

28. Do good, O Lord, unto thofe that are good, and upright of Heart.

29. As for Such as turn afide unto their own Wickednefs, the Lord fhall lead them forth with the evil Doers, but Peace fhall be upon Ifrael.

30. Now UNTO HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the Power that worketh in us; (Eph. iii. 20.)

NTO THEE LIFT I up mine Eyes, O Thou that dwelleft in the Heavens. Behold, even as the Eyes of Servants look unto the Hand of their Masters, and as the Eyes of a Maiden unto the Hand of her Mistress, even fo our Eyes wait upon the Lord our God, untill He have Mercy upon us. (P. cxxiii.)

2. Have Mercy upon us, O Lord, have Mercy upon us, for We are utterly defpifed: our Soul is filled with the Scorning of thofe that are at eafe, and with the Deceitfulnefs of the proud,

IF THE LORD himself had not been on our Side, now may Ifrael fay, if the Lord himself had not been on our Side, when Men rofe up against us; they had fwallowed us up quick, when their Wrath was kindled at us: (Pf.cxxiv.) 4. Yea, the Waters had drowned us, and the Stream had gone over our Soul: the deep Waters of the proud had gone even over our Soul.

5. But praifed be the Lord, who hath not given us over for a Prey unto their Teeth.

6. Our Soul is escaped even as a Bird out of the Snare of the Fowler; the Snare is broken, and we are delivered. 7. Our Help standeth in the Name of the Lord, who hath made Heaven and Earth.

8. THEY, that fow in Tears, fhall reap inJoy. (P.cxxvi.) 9. He that now goeth on his Way weeping, and beareth forth good Seed, fhall doubtless come again with Joy, and bring his Sheaves with him.

10. EXCEPT THE LORD build the Houfe, their Labor... is but loft that build it. (P. cxxvii.)

II. Except the Lord keep the City, the Watchman i waketh but in vain. It is but loft Labor that ye hafte to rife up early, and fo late take Reft, and eat the Bread of Carefulness; for fo He giveth his beloved Sleep.

12. Lo, Children and the Fruit of the Womb are an Heritage and Gift that cometh of the Lord.

13. Like as the Arrows in the Hand of the Giant, event fo are the young Children: Happy is the Man that hath his Quiver full of them; they fhall not be ashamed, when they speak with their Enemies at the Gate.

14. BLESSED ARE ALL they that fear the Lord, and walk in his Ways. (Pf. cxxviii.)

15. For thou shalt eat the Labors of thine Hands; O happy fhalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee: Thy Wife fhall be as the fruitful Vine, upon the Sides of thine House; thy Children like the Olive-branches round about thy Table,

16. Lo, thus fhall the Man be bleffed, that feareth the Lord.

17. The Lord from out of Sion fhall fo bless thee, that thou fhalt fee Jerufalem in Profperity all thy Life long. 18. Yea, that thou fhalt fee thy Children's Children, and Peace upon Ifrael.

19. BEHOLD, HOW GOOD and joyful a Thing it is for Brethren to dwell together in Unity. (P. cxxxiii.)

20. It is like the precious Ointment upon the Head, that ran down unto the Beard, even unto Aaron's Beard, and went down to the Skirts of his Clothing,

21. Like as the Dew of Hermon, which fell upon the Hill of Sion: for there the Lord promised his Bleffing and Life for evermore.

22. Now UNTO the King eternal, immortal, invifible, the only wife God, be Honor and Glory, for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Tim. i. 17.)

RISE, O Lord, into thy refting Place; Thou and the Ark of thy Strength. Let thy Priests be clothed with Righteousness, and let thy Saints fing with Joyfulnefs. (Pf. cxxxii.)

2. The Lord hath made a faithful Oath unto David, and He will not fhrink from it: "Of the Fruit of thy "Body will I fet upon thy Throne.

3. If thy Children will keep my Covenant and my "Teftimonies that I fhall learn them, their Children alfo fhall fit upon thy Throne for evermore."
