17. My Foot ftandeth right: I will praise the Lord in the Congregations.

18. THE LORD is my Light and my Salvation, whom then fhall I fear; the Lord is the Strength of my Life, of whom then shall I be afraid? (Pf. xxvii.)

19. Though an Hoft of Men were laid against me, yet fhall not my Heart be afraid and though there rofe up War against me, yet will I put my Trust in Him.

20. One Thing have I defired of the Lord, which I will require; even that I may dwell in the House of the Lord all the Days of my Life, to behold the fair Beauty of the Lord, and to vifit his Temple.

21. For in the Time of Trouble He fhall hide me in his Pavilion, yea, in the fecret Place of his Tabernacle fhall He hide me, and fet me upon a Rock of Stone.

22. And now fhall He lift up mine Head above mine Enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his Dwelling an Oblation with great Gladness; I will fing, yea and fpeak Praifes unto the Lord.

23. Hearken unto my Voice, O Lord, when I cry unto Thee; have Mercy upon me, and answer me.

24. When Thou faidft, Seek Ye my Face; my Heart hath faid unto Thee, thy Face, Lord, will I feek.

25. O hide not Thou thy Face from me, nor caft thy Servant away in Difpleasure. Thou haft been my Succor; leave me not, neither forfake me, O God of my Salvation. 26. When my Father and my Mother forfake me, then the Lord will take me up.

27. Teach me thy Way, O Lord, and lead me in the right Path, because of mine Enemies.

28. I fhould utterly have fainted, but that I believe verily to fee the Goodness of the Lord, in the Land of the Living.

29. O wait Thou on the Lord; be of good Courage, and He fhall ftrengthen thine Heart, and put thou thy Truft in the Lord.

30. PRAISED be the Lord, for He hath heard the Voice of my Supplications. (P. xxviii. 7.)

31. The Lord is my Strength and my Shield; my Heart hath trufted in him, and I am helped; therefore my Heart greatly rejoiceth, and with my Song will I praise him.

32. The Lord is my Strength, and He is the wholefome Defence of his Anointed. O fave thy People, and give thy Bleffing unto thine Inheritance: feed them, and fet them up for ever.

33. Now MAY the God of all Grace, who hath called Us into his eternal Glory by Chrift Jefus, after that Ye have fuffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, ftrengthen, fettle you. (1 Pet. v. 10.)

Evening.

ORING unto the Lord, O ye Mighty, bring young Rams unto the Lord; afcribe unto the Lord Glory and Strength. 1 (P. xxix.)

2. Give unto the Lord the Honor due unto his Name; worship the Lord with holy Worship.

3. It is the Voice of the Lord that is upon the Waters; it is the glorious God that maketh the Thunder: it is the Lord that ruleth the Sea.

4. The Voice of the Lord is mighty in Operation, the Voice of the Lord is full of Majefty.

5. The Voice of the Lord breaketh the Cedar-Trees; yea, the Lord breaketh the Cedars of Libanus; He maketh them alfo to skip like a Calf; Libanus alfo and Sirion like a young Unicorn.

6. The Voice of the Lord divideth the Flames of Fire; the Voice of the Lord fhaketh the Wilderness; yea, the Lord fhaketh the Wilderness of Cadefh.

7. The Voice of the Lord maketh the Hinds to bring forth young, and difcovereth the thick Bushes in his Temple doth every Man speak of his Glory.

8. The Lord fitteth upon the Water flood; yea, the Lord remaineth King for ever.

9. The Lord fhall give Strength unto his People; the Lord fhall give his People the Bleffing of Peace.-WITH HIM is Wisdom and Strength; He hath Counsel and Understanding. (Job xii. 13.)

10. Behold, He breaketh down, and it cannot be built again; He fhutteth upon a Man, and there can be no opening.

11. Behold, He withholdeth the Waters, and they dry up; alfo He fendeth them out, and they overturn, the Earth.

12. With Him is Strength and Wisdom; the deceived and the Deceiver are his.

13. He leadeth Counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the Judges Fools: He loofeth the Bond of Kings, and girdeth their Loins with a Girdle.

14. He leadeth Princes away fpoiled, and overthroweth the Mighty.

15. He removeth away the Speech of the trufty, and taketh away the Understanding of the aged.

16. He poureth Contempt upon Princes, and weakeneth the Strength of the mighty.

17. He difcovereth deep Things out of Darkness, and bringeth out to Light the Shadow of Death.

18. He encreaseth the Nations, and deftroyeth them; He enlargeth the Nations, and straiteneth them again.

19. He taketh away the Heart of the Chief of the People of the Earth, and caufeth them to wander in a Wildernefs, where there is no Way.

20. They grope in the dark without Light, and He maketh them to ftagger like a drunken Man.

21. HE PUTTETH forth his Hand upon the Rock; He overturneth the Mountains by the Roots; He cutteth out Rivers among the Rocks, and his Eye feeth every precious Thing. (Job xxviii. 9.)

22. He bindeth the Floods from overflowing; and the Thing that is hid, bring th He forth to Light.

23. HELL IS naked before him, and Deftruction hath no Covering. (ib. xxvi. 6.)

24. He ftretcheth out the North over the empty Place, and hangeth the Earth upon Nothing.

25. He bindeth up the Waters in his thick Clouds, and the Cloud is not rent under them.

26. He holdeth back the Face of his Throne, and spreadeth his Cloud upon it.

27. He hath compaffed the Waters with Bounds, untill the Day and Night come to an End.

at his Reproof.

29. He divideth the Sea with his Power, and by his Understanding He fmiteth through the proud.

30. By his Spirit He hath garnished the Heavens; his Hand hath formed the crooked Serpent.

31. Lo, these are Parts of his Ways; yet how little a Portion is heard of Him? but the Thunder of his Power who can understand?

32. FOR HE looketh to the Ends of the Earth, and feeth under the whole Heaven. (ib. xxviii. 24.)

33. To make the Weight for the Winds, and He weigheth the Waters by Measure.

34. When He made a Decree for the Rain, and a Way for the Lightening of the Thunder;

35. Then did He fee it, and declare it; He prepared it, and fearched it out.

yea,

36. And unto Man He faid, Behold, the Fear of the Lord, that is Wisdom, and to depart from Evil is Understanding.

37. O THE DEPTH of the Riches both of the Wisdom and Knowledge of God! How unfearchable are his Judgements, and his Ways paft finding out! (Rom. xi. 33.)

38. For Who hath known the Mind of the Lord, or who hath been his Counsellor?

39. For of him, and through him, and to him are all Things To Whom be Glory for ever. 40. Amen.

Morning.

NTO Thee will I cry, O Lord my Strength; be not filent to me, left if Thou make as though Thou hearedst me not, I become like them, that go down into the Pit. (P. xxviii.)

2. Hear the Voice of my Supplications, when I cry unto Thee, when I lift up my Hands towards the Mercy-Seat of thy holy Temple.

3. O draw me not away, neither deftroy me with the Ungodly and wicked Doers, which speak friendly to their Neighbors, but imagine Mifchief in their Hearts."

4. For they regard not in their Minds the Works of the Lord, nor the Operation of his Hands; therefore fhall He break them down, and not build them up.

5. J WILL magnifie Thee, O Lord, for Thou haft fet me up, and haft not made my Foes to triumph over me. (Pf. xxx.)

6. O Lord my God, I cried unto Thee, and Thou haft healed me.

7. Thou, Lord, haft brought my Soul out from the Grave; Thou haft kept me alive from them that go down to the Pit.

8. Sing Praifes unto the Lord, O ye Saints of his; and give Thanks unto Him at the Remembrance of his Holinefs.

9. For his Anger endureth but the twinkling of an Eye, and in his Favor is Life; Heaviness may endure for a Night, but Joy cometh in the Morning.

10. And in my Profperity I faid, I fhall never be removed; Thou Lord, of thy Goodness haft made my Hilf so strong.

11. Thou didst turn thy Face from me, and I was troubled: then cried I unto Thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made Supplication.

12. What Profit is there in my Blood, when I go down to the Pit?

13. Shall the Duft give Thanks unto Thee, or fhall it declare thy Truth?

14. Hear, O Lord, and have Mercy upon me: Lord, be Thou my Helper.

15. Thou haft turned my Mourning into Joy; Thou haft put off my Sackcloth, and girded me with Gladness.

16. Therefore fhall every good Man fing of thy Praise without ceafing: O Lord my God, I will give Thanks unto Thee for ever,

17. IN THEE, O Lord, have I put my Truft, let me never be put to Confufion; deliver me in thy Righteouf nefs. Bow down thine Ear to me, make Hafte to deliver
