WILL love Thee, O Lord, my Strength; the Lord is my Rock and my Defence; my Savior, my God, and my Might, in whom I will truft; my Buckler, the Horn alfo of my Salvation, and my Refuge. (Pf. xviii.)

2. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praifed; fo fhall I be fafe from mine Enemies.

3. In my Trouble I will call upon the Lord, and complain unto my God.

4. So fhall He hear my Voice out of his holy Temple, and my Complaint fhall come before Him, it shall enter even into his Ears.

5. FORASMUCH as there is None like unto Thee, O Lord; Thou art great, and thy Name is great in Might." Who would not fear Thee, O King of Nations, for to Thee doth it appertain. (Jerem. x. 6.)

6. Forafmuch as among all the Wife-Men of the Nations and in all their Kingdoms, there is None like unto Thee.

7. But the Lord is the true God, He is the living God, and an everlasting King; at his Wrath the Earth fhall. tremble, and the Nations fhall not be able to abide his Indignation.

8. ARE THERE any among the Vanities of the Gentiles, that can caufe Rain? or can the Heavens give Showers? Art not Thou He, O Lord our God? therefore We will wait upon Thee : for Thou haft made all these Things. (ib. xiv. 22.j

9. THUS

9. THUS SHALL YE fay unto them, the Gods that have not made the Heavens, and the Earth, even they fhall perish from the Earth, and from under thefe Heavens.

10. He hath made the Earth by his Power, He hath eftablished the World by his Wifdom, and hath ftretched out the Heavens by his Difcretion. (ib. x. 11.)

II. When He uttereth his Voice, there is a Multitude of Waters in the Heavens, and He caufeth the Vapors to afcend from the Ends of the Earth; He maketh Lightenings, with Rain, and bringeth forth the Wind out of his Treasures.

"12. Every Man is brutifh in his Knowledge, every Founder is confounded by the Graven Image; for his molten Image is Falsehood, and there is no Breath in them.

13. They are Vanity and the Work of Errors; in the time of their Vifitation they fhall perish.

14. The Portion of Jacob is not like them; for He is the Former of all things, and Ifrael is the Rod of his Inheritance: the LORD OF HOSTS is his Name.

15. THE EARTH trembled and quaked, and the very Foundations also of the Hills shook, and were removed becaufe He was wroth. (P. xviii. 7. )

16. There went up a Smoke out in his Presence; and a confuming Fire out of his Mouth, fo that Coals were kindled at it.

17. He bowed the Heavens alfo and came down, and Darkness was under his Feet.

18. He rode upon the Cherubims, and did fly; yea, He came flying upon the Wings of the Wind.

19. He made Darkness his fecret Place; his Pavilion round about him were dark Waters and thick Clouds of the Skies.

20. At the Brightness of his Prefence his thick Clouds removed, Hailftones and Coals of Fire.

21. The Lord also thundered out of Heaven, and the

Highest gave his Voice, Hailftones and Coals of Fire.

22. Yea, He fent out his Arrows and scattered them; He caft forth Lightenings and difcomfited them.

23. Then the Springs of Waters were feen, and the Foundations of the round World were discovered at thy

Chiding, O Lord, at the Blaft of the Breath of thy Difpleasure.

24. He fhall fend down from on high to fetch me, and fhall take me out of many Waters.

25. He fhall deliver me from my strongest Enemy, and from them which hate me; for they are too mighty for

me.

26. They prevented me in the Day of my Trouble; but the Lord was my Upholder.

27. He brought me forth alfo into a Place of Liberty; He delivered me, even because the Lord had a Favor unto

`me.

28. The Lord fhall reward me after my righteous Dealing; according to the Cleannefs of my Hands fhall He recompence me.

29. Because I have kept the Ways of the Lord, and have not for faken my God, as the wicked doth.

30. For I have an Eye unto all his Laws, and will not caft out his Commandments from me.

31. Therefore fall the Lord reward me after my righteous Dealing, and according unto the Cleannefs of my Hands in his Eye-Sight.

32. With the merciful Thou wilt fhew thyself merciful, and with an upright Man Thou wilt fhew thyself upright. 33. With the pure Thou wilt fhew thyfelf pure, and with the froward Thou wilt fhew thyfelf froward.

34. For Thou shalt fave the People that are in Adverfity, and fhalt bring down the high Looks of the proud. 35. Thou alfo fhalt light my Candle: the Lord my God fhall make my Darkness to be Light.

36. For by Thee I fhall discomfit an Hoft of Men, and with the Help of my God I fhall leap over the wall.

37. The Way of God is an undefiled Way: the Word of the Lord alfo is tried in the Fire; He is the Defender of all them that put their Truft in him.

38. For who is God, but the Lord? or who hath any Strength, except our God?

39. It is God that girdeth me with Strength, and maketh my Way perfect.

40. Thou haft given me the Defence of thy Salvation; thy right Hand alfo fhall hold me up, and thy loving Correction fhall make me great.

41. Thou

41. Thou fhalt make room enough under me for to go, that my Footsteps flip not.

42. The Lord liveth, and bleffed be my ftrong Helper ; and praised be the God of my Salvation.

43. Therefore will I give Thanks unto Thee, O Lord, among the Gentiles; and fing Praifes unto thy Name.

44. Great Profperity giveth He unto the King; and fheweth his loving Kindness unto his Anointed, and unto his Seed for evermore.

45. Now TO HIM, that is of Power to stablish us, according to his Gofpel, and the Preaching of Jefus Chrift; to God only wife, be Glory, through Jefus Christ, for ever. (Romans xvi. 25.)

46. Amen.

Morning.

HE KING fhall rejoice in thy Strength, O Lord, exceeding glad fhall he be of thy Salvation: Thou haft given him his Heart's Defire, and haft not denied him the Requeft of his Lips. (Pf. xxi.)

2. For Thou shalt prevent him with the Bleffings of Goodness, and fhalt fet a Crown of pure Gold upon his Head,

3. He asked Life of Thee, and Thou gaveft it him, even Length of Days for ever and ever: his Glory is great in thy Salvation; Honor and Majesty shalt Thou lay upon him.

4. For Thou fhalt give him everlafting Felicity, and make him exceeding glad with the Joy of thy Countenace.

5. And why? because the King putteth his Truft in the Lord; and in the Mercy of the moft High he shall not mifcarry.

6. All thine Enemies fhall feel thine Hand: and thy right hand fhall find them out that hate thee.

7. Their Fruit fhalt Thou root out of the Earth; and their Seed from among the Children of Men.

8. Be Thou exalted, Lord, in thine own Strength; fo will We fing and praife thy Power.

9. SING

9. SING UNTO the Lord a new Song, and his Praise from the End of the Earth; Ye that go down to the Sea, an dAll that is therein; the Ifles and the Inhabitants thereof. (Ifai. xlii. 10.).

10. Let the Wilderness and the Cities thereof lift up their Voice; let the Inhabitants of the Rock fing, let them shout from the top of the Mountains.

11. Let them give Glory unto the Lord, and declare his Praise in the Iflands.

12. BLESSED BE the Name of God for ever and ever; for Wisdom and Might are his. (Daniel ii. 20.)

13. And He changeth the Times and the Seafons; He removeth Kings, and fetteth up Kings: He giveth Wifdom unto the wife, and Knowledge to them that know Understanding.

14. He revealeth the deep and secret Things, he knoweth what is in the Darkness; and the Light dwelleth with him.

15. His Kingdom is an everlafting Kingdom, and his Dominion is from generation to generation.

16. And all the Inhabitants of the Earth are reputed as Nothing and He doeth according to his Will in the Army of Heaven, and among the Inhabitants of the Earth; and None can stay his Hand, or fay unto him, what doest Thou?

17. Let us therefore praise and extoll and honor the King of Heaven, all whofe Works are Truth, and his Ways Judgement, and those that walk in Pride He is able to abase.

18. For He is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his Kingdom that which fhall not be destroyed, and his Dominion fhall be even to the End.

19. HAST THOυ not known? 'haft Thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the Ends of the Earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no Searching of his Understanding. (Ija. xl. 28.)

20. He giveth Power to the Faint; and to them that have no Might, He encreafeth Strength.

21. Even the Youths fhall faint and be weary, and the young Men fhall utterly fall: but They that wait upon the Lord fhall renew their Strength.
