This was exposed in Dr. Farmer's Essay on the Learning of Shakspeare, p. 81.4 (ed. 1821), where he shews that W. Stafford was the author, referring to Wood's Fasti Oxon, which see, pt. i. p. 378 (ed. by Bliss). It is reprinted in the ninth volume of the Harleian Miscellany, And in the Penny Mag. vol. 5, p. 130, this singular work is noticed, and several extracts from it given.
