Having carefully examined this present stereotype edition of the New Testa ment, and compared it diligently with that printed in Dublin in 1820, with the approbation and recommendation of the four Catholic Archbishops of Ireland, 1 do hereby give #y full approbation to the circulation of it in this Diocese, and recommend it acoordingly.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the Diocesean Seal, this 7th day of September, 1828.

BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the thirteenth day of September, A. D. 1828, in the fifty-third year of the Independence of the United States of America, Lewis Willcocks and Nicholas Devereax, of the said District, have deposited in this office the title of a book, the right whereof they claim as propriétors, in the words following, to wit:

“The New Testament of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, translated out of the Latin vulgate; diligently compared with the original Greek; and first published by the English College of Rhemes, Anno 1582. Newly revised and corrected according to the Clementine Edition of the Scriptures. With Annotations, to clear up the principal difficulties of Holy Writ. As approved by the Right Reverend John Dubois, Catholic Bishop of New-York.
