Psychological Deprivation in ChildhoodWiley, 1975 - 496 стор. Summary: The Inside Australia project, by internationally acclaimed British Artist Antony Gormley, is an installation of 51 abstracted black steel figures standing in a 7 square kilometre area of Lake Ballard, near the goldfields town of Menzies, northwest of Perth and commissioned by the Perth International Arts Festival. Gormley calls his sculptures on Lake Ballard "Insiders", a bringing together of two notions of the interior; that which lies within the human being and that which lies at the interior of the continent. He sees the work 'as a field of antennae', reflexive rather than representational, allowing what is already there to be perceived and felt. Many Western Australians contributed by having their naked bodies scanned. These scans were used as the basis for making accurate concentrated forms, which allow attitudes and emotions embedded in posture to be revealed. Offair, ABC, 17/11/04, (50 min.). |
