In the new age of human civilization, government and culture in the United Planetary Association is based on the codes and ethics from the art of Scimita, a blended form of sword and blade combat. For young Lucian Corsair, it has not been easy living in the shadow of his older brother, Aidon, whose skill in the art is unmatched. After rescuing Lucian from a corrupt patrol officer, however, Aidon is killed by some unknown weapon. Years later, an unexpected turn of events thrusts Lucian into the middle of this mystery once more. To find his brotheras killer, Lucian allies with the elusive Disciples of Scimita, a cult dedicated to the original teachings of the art. But Aidonas mysterious death has also involved the Soldiers of Peace, the intergalactic military. What killed Aidon Corsair? What is this weapon called gun? Will it change their world forever?
